Moving day tools

A short checklist for moving day:

• Clear paths from every room to the door, and from the door to the truck.
• Reserve the elevator and parking window if your building needs it.
• Have your inventory list ready: big items, fragile items, anything with stairs involved.
• Mark fragile boxes clearly, and keep valuables and essentials with you.
• Tell the crew about tight corners, steep stairs, and anything unusually heavy before moving day, not after they arrive.
• Have payment ready: cash on completion.
